The Salarié (employee) permit is for foreign nationals who have an employer in France ready to officially formalize employment (CDI or CDD) with subsequent permit processing.
Validity Period
Salarié permit can be issued for up to 4 years. In practice:
- Initially — 1-year permit
- Then 4-year renewal when meeting integration conditions
Conditions for 4-Year Renewal
- Proof of French language level A2
- Completion of mandatory integration courses
- Four-day course on Republic values and French history
- Interview at the prefecture
