Validity Period

Salarié permit can be issued for up to 4 years. In practice:

  • Initially — 1-year permit
  • Then 4-year renewal when meeting integration conditions

Conditions for 4-Year Renewal

  • Proof of French language level A2
  • Completion of mandatory integration courses
  • Four-day course on Republic values and French history
  • Interview at the prefecture

Family Reunification and Prospects

  • Status allows family reunification
  • After 5 years of legal residence — right to resident card
  • Right to apply for French citizenship
